B13 non-SER vs SER

hello everyone. i have been passively searching for a B13 SER for the last while (i live in canada, so i would have to import from the US).

i have found a really clean, minty non-SER here in town. only 30,000kms, and its a 5spd GA16.

my question is, how less possible is it for me to swap in an SR20VE, and install a good aftermarket suspension setup?

does it have the same compatibilities as the SE-R?

search GA16 to SR20DE swaps, it'll be the same swap. Hint... there is an excellent writeup in the technical library

It's much more possible than working with a b14. I'd jump on that in a heartbeat if the price was right.

cool, thanks for the replies.

i found the answer to the SR20VE question: http://www.sr20forum.com/showpost.ph...5&postcount=12

so what about the suspension, is there any limitations to the non-SER models when i want to upgrade? this is going to be for Autocross, so i essentially want the same platform as if i bought an SE-R.

Hi, I'm new to the forum, but I've just been browsing for a few months. I bought my 91 SE-R for $350 with a blown engine. I bought the car from a scrap dealer/junkyard. The previous owner couldn't find another SR20, so they scrapped the car. To my luck is when I came across her while looking for a radiator for my wife's van. I swapped in a low port from a G20 and came across the problem of not wanting to turn over. I took my SE-r to a Nissan specialist to seek out the problem. The body and paint is in great condition. You'll find one out there somewhere, trust me they're around. To find them is the key.

No problems on the suspension, you're gonna upgrade/change everything anyways.

This should help:

There's a guy in Winkler parting out a 91' NX2000. It may have a few parts you could use for a swap.

not sure if you have gotten this yet. but any suspension for 91-94 SE-R will work on a 91_94 none se-r.......same car save the engine and a few other things.
