Installing a/c in a b13

First, I want to say sorry for posting something someone has already posted but I couldnt find a post anywhere else about this topic. Ok this is the deal I now have all the parts to complete my a/c system (compressior, condisor, driyer, evaporator, ect.) So how excalty do i go about installing all this? My brother told me that I need to remove the radiaidor to install the condisor and the compressior. Is this true? This sounds difficlut but I think I can do this myself. O and Im told that I will need a new belt as well because of the compressior. Dose anyone know the size that I need? while Im on the a/c topic my resistor (that controls the air flow on speeds of 1234 on the dash) only works on 4. How can I fix this issue? Thanks for any advice/guidence.

removing the radiator would help a bunch, that's what I did when I removed my AC

1. you need to remove the radiator
2. you need a new belt(get a gates belt....autozone or local parts store has one)
3. get the retro kit for the a/c to use the newer freon
4. once you have the system completely hooked up its best to get it evacuated to remove all the air and moisture before you go putting in the new freon and oil
5. check all your o-rings
6. get a new resistor from the dealership ....any one you get used will die soon because they are all over a decade old! lol....they arent that expensive

Yes, you have to remove the radiator first so you can work on the other parts. But, be careful in removing the radiator to avoid more troubles.
