Does anyone know where I can get new quarter windows for my 91 SE-R? The outside rubber is just too far gone to use the existing windows, and I don't believe there is just new rubber for sale for those windows.
you don't need the outer rubber to "use" the windows. There is a butyl seal that seals the interior from leaks. If that butyl seal dries up, that is what allows rain to leak into the car. Happened to me, and I just bought some butyl tape from napa and redid my leaking quarter window.
If you just want a new window for that new look (I want this as well heh), you should contact Greg Vogel at www.gspec.com
Be prepared to bend over when you ask the price. IF he can get them, last time I checked, they were $175 each. I found a pair at a salvage yard for $28.80 each. The outside rubber was perfect.

I just had to replace one on my SE-R. B13's (especially 2-doors) tend to be scarce in my local yards, but I was lucky and paid a similar amount for one in decent condition.

They can be had from the factory all right, in fact that's the only way to get the seal is with the glass (!). Don't know why; the driver side almost always seems to be worse than the other. I agree with the guys above; go hunting in the yards.

If you don't have the patience
to do it right the first time,
how is it you have the time to
do it over and over again?
I have 2 sittingin my garage, but the outer seal is weathered. Not chipped up or anything, but you should know what I mean by weathered - pits and not too smooth.
If you are just looking for something to get you by, let me know.
Thats what I have now they are really weathered and pitted.. None of the yards here have any coupes. Thanks for the heads up on where to get them I will send him an email..
i was always temped to try to just bodo them ishes up and sand them into shape then respray them. not sure if a thin layer of bondo would chip off the rubber ***. if you preped it correctly and didnt use much i dont see why it would.

well i can get the quarter glasses, however they are pricey. they would be like 145 or 150 plus shipping. if alot of people need them i might could be able to get them cheaper.
I got a good set from a forum member a few months ago.$45 shipped for both sides. You cant repair the rubber seal, because they are so flexible the bondo and paint will crack and flake.Depending on what kind of look you want, you can take a piece of 400 grit wet/dry sandpaper and wet sand them pretty smooth.
i sell automotive glass. ill check with all my aftermarket suppliers, i think PPG makes them but i dont like their low quality. they are still available new from the dealer, all the parts for b13s are. because they made the b13 so long in mexico the parts will be available for a long time. my current b13 is a full factory parts restoration(all new rubber, glass, badges, mouldings, etc.)
update. i can get them through my aftermarket suppliers, but they are scarce. my price was over 200 per side so that is crap. you can just get them from the dealer and they should cost about 200 or less a peice.
