Car will not start! HELP!!

Hey all, any help will be appreciated! I have a 1991 Nissan sentra SE-R. I got in to drive her last night and she wouldnt even crank. Lights came on, and are bright. Even with that said, I attempted to jump the battery to see if that was the problem but it would not jump. I then tried to roll start the car and was unsuccessful due to not having enough speed. I am wondering if this has anything to do with the clutch switch underneath the clutch pedal itself?? I tried to play with it this morning when I got home from work put couldnt seem to get it to work. Once again it seems as though the battery is fine. The car was running absolutely flawlessly earlier yesterday but simply wouldnt start last night. This is my DD for the time being, so suggestions on possible problems and fixes will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Unplug the wire harness form clutch switch, take a piece of coper wire and stick it into both ends of harness and try to start it.

If the car wont start and you don't hear the relay clicking, take your ohmmeter and measure the resistance between ground and both contacts on the wire harness of the switch. one of them should read nearly 0 ohm and another one should be open. Then take a Voltmeter and stick red probe into the "open" wire and back probe to the ground. Then put your key into "crank" position and you should see 12V on the voltmeter. If voltmeter reads 0v then something is wrong with your relay wiring, find broken circuit with your Ohmeter.

It also may be your starter, even without the clicking. Mine died last year and had the same symptoms, and I thought the engine had seized (due to the lack of clicking). Come to find out it was my starter and once I had that replaced everything was butter again.

Make sure take a look at your grounds. Disconnect the battery and then reconnect it to see if it made the dash lights go away. Take a look at the ground above the radiator hose thats closer to the driver side. Work your way from there inspecting all the ground. I had a similar issue and it was my starter ground.
