I've had MT-90 in both of my cars and love it!

Expect to pay about $6-9 a quart.

If you live anywhere that gets cold be advised it will be harder to shift until the tranny warms up.

this will sound like bs but i ran amsoil full synthetic gear oil in my b13 manual tranny and it all leaked out from a bad axle seal. i had to get to work and im lazy so i just kept driving it for about 500 miles. it never made any noice or anything. when i pulled the axle back out to change the seal the tranny was empty but no damage was done. amsoil is awsome.

I have been using Redline MT-90 gear oil for the life of my car and find it to be the best gear oil. It should run about 8 or 9 dollars a bottle at any repectable shop. Summit has it too http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

Heavy duty shock proof is almost too thick for anything but a race car. MT90 is the best DD oil.

I'm using Amsoil. Love it! It's the correct "GL" rating too. Can't remember what it is at the moment...

I use a combo of Redline Heavyweight and Lightwieght Shockproof for my tranny. I love how it feels and its not to stiff in the cold.

Actually.... I live in Maine (which is a tad bit farther north than BigB ) and shifting in zero degree weather is WAY better with the Redline MT-90.

Been using Redline. Use to use Mobil 1, but soon found out that it is not the correct oil for out trannys.

Thinking about switching to Amsoil since my buddy can get it at the shop he works at. Talked to the Rep that he deals with and it seems like really good stuff.

Go directly to myoilshop.com, do not pass go, do not collect $200. Order 4 qts Redline MT90. I've been driving and fixing cars (sometimes for a living) and crewing race cars off and on for almost 50 years. I have never, ever in my experience ever seen a change for the better like that from a damned fluid. My gearbox is at about 120k and counting; synchros of course getting a smidge tired. Changing to MT90 with the VE swap made for a completely different gearbox, feels like the one I test drove back in '92. Amazing stuff. Just do it.

4 quarts should be more than enough. Usually takes about 3 1/2 - 3 2/3.

Fill with the car level until the oil reaches the fill hole.

BTW.... the drain hole and fill hole are two different holes.
