Painting seats...

I was curious if any of you guys have painted your seats or anything cloth inside your car? I have seen the fabric dye/cloth spray paint and was thinking of doing my seats in black. I think it would give it a nice look. I am just worried of the paint rubbing off on my clothes or just looking like crap. Has anyone tried this or had the balls to give it a shot? Maybe i'm just a ricer.

Bes,

I'll ask my buddy who does upholstery work and what's the best way to color the fabric.

Jay Hassinger did it and reported good results. Search on "dye" posts by Jay Hass

Awesome, let me know what your buddy says on how to go about doing it or any of his recommendations. I planned on doing this to change up the look a little bit until late Spring or whenever I come across some G20t leather seats again. Thanks for guiding me on that one Chris, always helping me out.

Yes the carpet came out like new. I pressure washed it and then dyed it.

just make sure to get the dye and not the vynal/fabric paint because that will rub off in a week or so.

I know I used the vinyl/fabric paint on my trim pieces in the interior. I was curious on how it would hold up but I think I will go with the dye if anything. Thanks for the advice!
