Other then the pretty obvious "have a spring compressor on hand" advice I can't think of much. Spring installs are pretty dang easy.

Out of curiosity, how much of a drop are those those Megan springs supposed to give you?

i have these same springs and if you don't have them on yet i would return them and spend the money (and a little extra) on some Road Magnets, Hypercos, or Ground control. the megan racing springs don't drop the car any more than 1.5 inches and the spring rates are really soft... so if you are looking for better handling for auto-x, road racing, drag racing i would definitely go with one of the 3 i stated above.

http://www.sr20forum.com/showthread.php?t=185638

there's a couple pictures of my car (also a 92) with megan springs and AGX's... but then again everything i just said is my own opinion so you don't have to take it worth a grain of salt, otherwise i hope the install goes well for you.

No, that will just allow you to removed the entire strut/spring assembly. The springs will still be attatched to the struts. You're better off with the stock ones though. Your car will bottom out on the bump stops, handle horribly, ride horribly, wear out parts, and pretty much just all around suck.

Since you will be wanting to reuse your struts, be careful not to scratch the shaft (or spin it) when you take the top hat off (with spring compressor attached). A piece of garden hose and vice-grips usually does the trick. You won't need the spring compressor to get the top hat back on with that big of a drop. PB Blast the hell out of the 2 nuts/bolts behind the brake rotor and use an impact wrench and breaker bar. That is if you still want to put those springs on. Do some research on the Road Magnets (robchaos?), I don't know a whole lot about them since I have hypercos

You will never make the car smooth and fast with those springs.

You already asked about the installation in this thread:

http://www.sr20forum.com/classic-se-r/187298-changing-springs.html

And got a damn good answer. What more do you need or not understand? Do you think the answer somehow miraculously changed in the last week?

You will have one (1) inch of suspension travel in front, 1.25" of suspension travel in the rear.

mpg9999 and classicaddict are telling you the facts. Not opinions.

I'm curious, what is the Megan spring rate front and rear? Look on the springs themselves perhaps.

You meant to say "quite stiff." Stiff enough on the Hypercos and Road Magnets to have a chance of staying off your bumpstops.

On the GC's you pick the spring rate from Eibach springs.

You can get the Hyperco's pre-owned in the forum Classifieds.

The Road Magnets are in the Group Buy section.

You should be interested in this thread, it would have educated you about suspensions. It also would have told you, with a link, where to get Hypercos and Road Magnets.

http://www.sr20forum.com/driveline-transmission/170794-b13-b14-b15-suspension-information.html

However, so far folks have posted that link for you two (2) different times in two of your threads about suspensions. Once by Hilltopdrifter, and once by myself.

Do you really think that the information in the Technical Library is incorrect? You think that our moderators and ace mechanics have not checked that information out before it gets officially entered into the Technical Library?

You keep asking questions, you get excellent information, you ignore it and buy total bullsh*t, crappy, parts. It's your money and our time you are wasting. .

Quite frankly, after three threads on suspensions and plenty of help, all of which you ignored, you deserve those lovely Megan springs.

I certainly tried to help you a number of times.

You can lead a jackass to water, but you cannot make him drink.

You're welcome.
