Vrs 2.5 exhaust?

I am planning on getting this exhaust, but just want to know how loud it is? Anybody have any sound clip's with the ssac header and vrs together on a b13?

anybody know what exactly comes in their "tubing kits"? Does it come with flanges or hangers?

Just get the whole thing. It'll bolt right in there. They have jigs down there for each car they sell for. My 3" behind the VE is a perfect fit.

The loudness will depend on your resonator and muffler choices, of which there are many. A bit louder but low backpressure use the Magnaflow "high flow" components - have 'em put as long a resonator in there as will fit between the cat and the bend, and a 5x7 straightthru muff. You can use a 5" round but it'll be a bit louder. If you really need to shush it up have 'em put a triple pass on the tail, but it'll sacrifice some upper end. A bit of help will be a downturned tip, which they made for me to direct exhaust flow down toward the street. If you really want to get fancy get and send them one of the Apexi adjustable "silencers". here's mine, fyi.

It took me about 6 emails to get the answer on the tubing kits from them.

It comes with everything but the muffler and the resonator. So buy a muffler and a resonator and weld it together and you have a catback.

Daniel's trying hard, he's a great guy. You're trying to save two bux. Just get the catback system from them. Bolt it on. It'll fit. It'll work. If you can't afford it, go to home depot and get some flex tube and glue.

Get the catback already welded... great piece, it will be fairly loud with magnaflow components... I have a 14" resonator and stock cat, and 2.5" ssac header and its loud!

I noticed it was a little louder using the newer ssac compared to my old hotshot.

I was just debating if it would b cheaper for me to piece my own 3" stainless steel exhasut together or to just get their piping kit and just have to do some welding. After finding the price on the piping. I think I will just make everythingfrom scratch

If you're good with a torch, go for it, because most of it's not hard. The one thing you might want to get from them is the bends that run from the end of the resonator over the suspension back to the muff - they do mandrel bends and it'll fit perfectly. UNLESS you have a local shop that can mandrel bend and can fit one for less bux than VRS's and shipping.

I did the 2.5 tubing kit. Also bought magnaflow muff. Welded flanges and pipes together. It's a bit raspy when cold because I didn't use a resonator.

Get an ebay silencer to go with it. They look kinda lame and you lose a little hp in the higher rpm range, but it makes it livable. It's easy on/off for track days, so if you want max power it's not hard to go back.

Yeah. I got to price how much everything would cost if I pieced together piping, flanges, and hangers v.s. the vrs $200 already made to fit. Doesnt sound like a bad idea. I got to look upnder my car first and see how many bends I would need. Those exhaust look nice though

I really like these guys; they put up with a LOT from me as I was being compulsive about setting up my VE. Given I did 3" all the way back from a Fuji, it cost me a bit more, but this thing just bolted in. I'm pretty sure they can whip up that resonator to muff pipe (2 pieces so it's easy to get over the suspension), and if you don't want a resonator they'll probably do one piece for you back from the cat, and then all you're adding is the muff. Make sure you're actually saving yourself some bux by doing it yourself - it may actually be cheaper just to have them slap it together and send it to you.
