Analog to digi

Ok, I was kind of running the thread to death over in the how too section. I see now that was the wrong place to do that....Looking for some help here for those who might have done this mod.

I started it yesterday and have run into a couple problems. Not so much (that I can see with the mini Plug) but with the other plugs. Here is a short list of some lighting problems:

My turn signals are dead, my door ajar light does not work, the clock lights up when the door is closed but when you open the door the clock goes out and My seat belt light dont work. I know most of these are just a matter of wiring. but following the traces on the back leads to some dead ends. if someone has ran into a similar problem with the swap please fill me in. right now the car is non drivable because of the turn signals,, I know I can get this to work so I am still working it and not wanting to swap back just yet (i have another car i can drive) I followed the posted (how to section) diagram to a "T" . so i am hoping someone ran into a similar problem and can pass some information my way.

Standing by for some help
Jake

Ok, got the misc lights working.... one wire, go figure... now here is a problem that is eluding me pretty bad.
I have the auto seat belts. as long as the car is running or the iginition is in acc, the seat belts will retract as they should when the door opens or closes, take the key out and the seat belts no move they stay in what ever position they were in prior to removing the key. From my cluster i had two wires for the "belt" with the new cluster and the diagram I can only find and trace just one wire. I am sure my problem lies with the fact I am not using the other wire but can not see where it goes..... Anyone ????

Oh, and as will everyone else, my speedo is off. I got the cluster from a Manual NX1600 so from the posts sounds like I need to get the speed sensor from that car and put it in my car....???????

thanks for any help folks
Jake

Ok, Guess i am in comunica with myself here,,, Got everything working finally, turned out to be some fuses,,, that one wrong wire blew a couple of fueses... all is worky worky great.

the speed is off, i did manage to get the speed sensor from the donor NX out of the yard. so I have the cluster and matching Speed sensor. Taking it out took a little bit, I will need some advise installing it into my car. so I hope someone besides myself will reply here and give me some tips installing it. Any tecniques? special tools? you know, that kind of information. If you have swapped out the speed sensor in your car, what does it take and what can I expect to see/happen during the install process.
I am hoping (from reading the other threads) that the sensor is the problem. along with that I hope the sensor will fit. I have an auto xmsn, and the NX donor car was manual, so the cluster and sensor will be a matched set. Will the sensor (manual from NX) fit in my auto?
Standing by for some help.

thanks all
Jake

There are two little lights on the top part of the cluster panel that lights up clear plastic to show you the tach numbers and such. I never have them on cause its really ugly when they are on. Thats what is hooked up to my dimmer switch. I couldnt get the illuminate knob to work right on the cluster, but that turns up the brightness of the speedo and gas lines.

Think it was the white wire off the dimmer....I'd have to check for sure.

OK folks, tried to put the NX speed pinion into my sentra today. NO GO. It will not physically fit in my transmission. I tried to swap out just the gear at then end and that didnt make a bit of a difference. So now I am sitting back at my original set up of original auto transmissoin speed pinion, and manual transmission NX 1600 digital cluster with the speedometer reading twice the actual speed.
Does anyone have and idea of what I can do to fix my "double" speed problem?

thanks
Jake
