STARTER

my starter on my 92 se-r just went out.. where can I get a good deal on a decent starter? should I go new or rebuilt? how hard are those to replace?

u can either get a new rebuilt on at autozone with a lifetime warrantee, or look for a used one in the classifieds. also junk yard if you're lucky. and it is pretty easy to replace, i did mine in like 30 minutes. loosen the two bolts, either 12 mm or 14 mm, take off bolts, unplug a few connectors take off starter from under car, put new starter in place, have a helper hand thread the bolts back in to hold the starter in place, plugs connectors on, tighten the two bolts, start engine, run 13's...

I thought it was kind of a PITA there is a manifold support bracket in the way, and it just isn't in the most easily accessible spot.
I found pepboys had the best price of any of the local stores I think it was $130 and they even had it in stock mine was the mitsu unit
