Well it cant be good thats for sure. Leave the structure of the body alone. Most I would do body wise is remove the spare tire well.. but then again I hear stories of people loosing the ass end due to not enough weight on the rear tires. How light do you want it? Whats your target #? What are you going to use it for?

Thats possible without going that crazy. I weighed in at 2340 (turbo) with all the stuff in the front area intact minus cd player & speakers. I can fill you in on the details & pics if you want. Is this going to be a DD or weekend warrior?

Ive done a few more things since then like swap the torino for a fixed back seat, remove wiper motor, added a roll bar.. so I really need to weigh it again soon.

Your strut bar will work just fine bolt in or weld in.And I probally should have drilled the spot welds, but I just took a thin chisel and hammer and ran the chisel under the sheet metal and just "peeled" it up.As for the rest of the car I used a plasma cutter and die grinder with a cut-off wheel.

WOw 1987 pounds. I like that. With about 200 to the wheels NA that thing would make an amazing track day monster.

i guess i just have a differant mind set. i plan on gutting my interior some time............only to add sound deadener but it will also have a t-28 and plenty of other goodies on it. so weight isnt a huge issue for me.
