radiators.

Does anyone know any company besides Koyo that makes radiators for our cars that are the right ones? Every time i order a radiator, they send me a 1.6litre auto version. The inlets are like 28mm instead of 32. and its a single row. Is there any radiators? ive searched and the only thing people talk about is Koyo. I dont have a race car so i dont think that koyo is necessary. if you know part numbers, websites, other people... anything, just post it below. thanks.

Yeah I had the same problem, too. After going trough three radiators that were the wrong size, I found this one on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NISSAN-SENTRA-Radiator-KOYO-91-92-93-94-95-96-97-98-99_W0QQitemZ170116355034QQihZ007QQcategoryZ33602QQ ssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

It's the right one. 1 3/8" ports. It's for an auto, but it doesn't hurt anything. Mine is doing a great job.

Get an NX2K radiator. It is a two row design instead of the Classics one row. It is OEM, and you can get one cheap at a salvage yard. It is a direct bolt-in, no modification necessary. Use a 300zx radiator cap.

I'm getting some body work done soon. I cratered my passenger front area. It's fixable.

Upgrades are NX radiator and Tsurus. The rest OEM.

That NX/300 cap combo is very popular. I cannot imagine needing more cooling on a NA motor for DD and autocross.

If I was turbo, or seriously road racing (track, duh), then I would consider another jump up the cooling chart. Koyo...whatever...mondo radiator.

I also have Spal fans which survived the wreck. I'm gonna strap them to the NX radiator. There is a thread under my name with Spal in the title of the thread. Pricing, model numbers, etc.....

Chriscar uses similar, less expensive, fans from Partzfinder. You can find the thread by searching Chriscar and partzfinder (misspelled with that "z" in it). Search the whole posts, not just the titles.

More space in the engine bay, more cfm of air across the radiator, blah, blah, blah.....

I understand that OEM sentra caps at 0.9 bar. Now the 300zx are at 1.1 or 1.3? Does it honestly make that much of a difference?

Use a '96 300ZX Turbo which are rated at 16lbs. I have one in my SE-R made by Stat which are fairly cheap as far as price. Can get them at just about any auto parts store. As far as making a difference IDK, but piece of mind owns me.

I just picked up the radiator cap from a 300zx at AutoZone. It was like 8 dollars, but its stamped 1.1 and not 1.3. does keep the temp down a little and keeps it down longer. Thinking about picking up a bottle of that purple ice stuff thats made by Royal Purple. Same thing as water wetter im guessing?

yes, i tested it using consult for a temp. reading. i was going over 200 all the time without it, with it i couldnt get it over the 190s. i like testing stuff like that. only downside to it is that it works best when just mixed with straight water. the more anti-freeze you add to it the higher the temp will be. but definatly run antifreeze it protects from corrosion along with keeping it from freezing.

im in the process of trying to find a radiator for my B13 SE-R, so far:

Nissan Dealer: wants $450.00 for OEM (personally I think rip off)
Ebay: Koyo High Perf. Rad $400-$450 (pricey)
SR20FORUM: NX2000 (used, $75, but no response from seller)
Heard about Modine being good quality and not to pricey, have yet to find where I can buy one though.

Lots of places only carry the 1.6 Sentra Rads which dont work because of the smaller in/outlets.

I hope I can get one soon because my is leaking all over driveway.

Koyo

So does anyone know if the Koya Radiator will bolt directly into my B13 SE-R without having to change the fans. I ask because I know that the Koyo rad is twice as thick as OEM and the fans already look pretty tight in there.

Im sure their are lots of forum members that have Koyo Rads in, any ideas from you guys that have done it.
