Megan racing coilovers

Hey I have an offer to buy some Megan racing coilovers for 879 I think this is a pretty good deal but I am unsure of the quality. I have searched on this forum alot and found nothing. I know they are popular on 240's but I have never heard of them for a classic and I am sure they are made I have seen the application for them. Any idea's or comments on these would be appreciated also I will be doing the spring upgrade for 6k and 4k to 8k and 6k respectivly. Basically I would like to know if these compare to high dollar brand such as K-sport or Tien?

Thanks
Jim

I have heard good things actually! I don't think any FWD guys have used them though. Do they have an appliceation for our cars?

I didn't even know they made these for the B13. And I have only heard good things about their other applications.

Yes they do

If you go to Bishopmotorsports.com you can see the application for 1991-94 Sentra's the price is 950 on there website but I know the owner Kyle Bishop pretty well I have heard a lot of people who have had him do the install and they say the coilover's are great. From what I gather these are sort of an off brand part so I figured I would ask. I think I will try them the only thing I have noticed is that they offer 32 levels of dampening where K-sport offers 36 but the price seems right. Kyle used to have a Red SE-R when they were almost brand new cars so I value his opinion. I guess if no one else has heard bad things I will try them and see what I think. I will keep you guys posted

I dont think they make them for the B13 any more. They arent on the price sheet or Megans website.

I only see them for the 2002-2006 Sentra, didn't see anything for the B13.

I would love the Tien

I would really love to get Tien coilovers hovever the basics aren't that great and I don't want to spend 1200 on the super streets if the megan racing for 879 are just as good. It's like would you rather have a name brand prescription or the generic when there the same. If I can get a nice set of megans for 879 and they do all the same things the tiens do wouldn't that be a better deal. Not everyone can spend crazy money for a name brand and call it a day.

Contact Kyoshoboy. I'm pretty sure he is riding on the prototype version of the megan racing coilovers.

I had the track version on my Evo and really liked them. For the price they are very hard to beat and if set-up correctly can hold their own. I had a friend autox my car that has a Supra with custom Penske suspension and he was impressed with the cart overall (he ended up buying an Evo). They are not the best shocks in the world but with their price point they are very hard to beat.

talk to kyoshoboy, he had megan racing coilovers right now, and before that had tein ss coilovers. im sure he can help since he can tell the first hand ride quality difference between the two.
