Can't get into 1st, 2nd gears, taking off on 3rd!!

This used to be an occasional problem, where every once in a while it happened that I cannot get into 1st and 2nd gears, but if I force to go in, it will be fine. It used to happen once every couple of weeks, for the past 1 year.

This time, I cannot force it anymore to un-jam, whatever was jamming in there. I cannot shift into 1st and 2nd anymore at all.

I did some search on the forum. I adjusted the clutch pedal cable. Tried to shift to first, by holding the rod from under the car (to eliminate any shifters issues, or trany shifting out of line with the rod, as I read in some posts) but to no do.

I checked the tranny fluid by trying to add some, but it did not take any fluid (even though there is a minor leak from the driver side input drive shaft seal!!) Is there a separate fluid compartment for 1st and 2nd gears!? I know it doesn't make sense, but the only thing I can think off, is that 1st and 2nd gear might not be getting any fluid from the leak.

At the same time, the car started grinding in 5th gear, and then started popping out from 5th gear. The f5th gear pop-out was fixed years ago, and now it is back.

It looks like it is not worth fixing anymore!! Maybe I should start looking for another one. It's an LSD on a 92 SE-R and a short shifter, redline shockproof.
Being my only car now since I totaled my TTZ, I have no choice but to take off in 3rd gear ... not fun at all ... good thing the area I live in is mostly flat!!
Thanks for your input on any advice or suggestion I might have missed!!

You mean a used one from the forum ?
I'm not familiar with the SE-R prices. What would be a fair price for one ?

I had a tranny do this to me before. It may eventually lock itself into gear and you won't have a choice but to get a new trans. I say go to a local pick and pull. I also see some B14 transmissions go for like 300-350$ on the forum so thats your best bet.

my tranny did this exact same thing to me. keep driving around like that and something in the tranny will eventually break and you'll left like i was to limp the car home and park it until you find a tranny. begin your search for a tranny now before it is too late and you're left stranded. i got my replacement tranny out a p10 g20 at the local pull and save for $50. but be aware that when you get a tranny that you know the difference between the lsd and non-lsd tranny before you get one. you'll need a different driver side axle if you get a non-lsd tranny.

Wouldn't that affect all the gears, not just first and second!?
I would also think, a bad throw out bearing would not allow the clutch to engage at all in any gear, as it would not allow the pressure plate to retract against the clutch disk!?
