5 speed or 4 speed

Hi
I am planning on purchasing a 1991 Sentra SE-R but am confused. It has a 4 speed manual transmission on it. Did real SE-R's in 91 come from the factory with that option?

Thanks,

hmm.. are you sure its a SE-R and not a base model E with a GA16 in it? sounds unreal to be SR and 4-speed.

You could only get the SE-R in 5-speed manual or automatic ( ).

There was NO 4-speed manual offered in the USA. Ever.

Excluding "5th gear pop-out" as mentioned, a broken 5-speed was not a factory option at time of purchase. It was a "free perk" later in the life of the vehicle.

Nissan's free gift to you the day your warranty expires.

Ok, lets count: 5 speeds in forward direction + 1 speed in rearward direction + 1 neutral speed = 7 speeds ?
