Having difficult time with tire size....

Hi, have some 3 spoke wheels (dont' know who made them) form 92 or 91 that I want to put on my car but they are 16x6. what would be is the best tire size for b13?

I was looking at 205/45/16 tires but all of them require at least 6.5'' rims? So what are my options?

What size are the tires that are on them in the pic? That's your benchmark.

Go here: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

You can enter stock Classic tire size of 186/60/14 and see what 16" tires would come close. Perhaps a 195/45/16?

Nope they fit great. I just switched to 205/40/16s for the winter and they suck in comparison. The only reason I'm running them is that they are m+s rated and also have much more tread left than the 195s.

If you want to run the 205/45/16 you can. 6 1/2" is in the recommended range but you won't have a problem with a 6" rim. The tire just won't lay down as wide a contact patch as it would on something wider like a 7' rim, but it will still be wider than a 195.
