HELP! Clutch pedal popped! Sits on floor?

How do I describe this. Started the '94 SE-R up tonight at work. Pulled out of the parking space and attempted to shift into second. I then hear a loud pop and the clutch pedal sinks to the floor and I'm coasting in the parking lot.

A quick look underneath and it appears there are two metal brackets with holes in them like something should be there. A cable? A spring? I see nothing on the floor...

I managed to push the car into a space and grab a ride home.

What do you think?

Thanks

i think its your "SHIFT LINKAGE".. happened to me before.. just put a bolt down the brackets so it will hold onto the shifter tight...

^^^ your shift linkage has nothing to do with the cable, your not reading what he is saying.

your cable snapped mang, just get a new cable and reinstall and you should be good to go.

Yea dude real simple, hit up advance and its like 17 bucks. I replaced my clutch, then snapped my axels, replaced the axles, then 2 days later my clutch cable broke. I wigged until I found out how simple it is to install not to mention cheap. You should have the haynes manual for your car it'll show you everything..
