A few final Questions before I start my Ga16de to JDM Sr20de Swap
Heres the run down fellas, I have the JDM SR waiting(It has a tubular exhaust mani doesnt that mean its a higher compression one?) Just need a few questions answered before I start,So heres the list, I am going to continue my searching after posting this thread so some of these questions may be answered soon,
1. Will the Ga16 speed sensor work for a SR tranny?
2. What all sensors will need to be changed in the JDM sr to run off a USDM ECU?
3. Of the above sensors will any from the GA16 work?
4. What axles to use for a G20 NON-LSD tranny?(i Beleive its ga16 driver and sr passenger but need someone to verify)
5. Will the Ga Flywheel bolts interchange?
6. Throttle and clutch cables both have to be switched from the ga16 units to SR units correct?
7.I am going to run a JDM intake mani runner with a USDM plenium will it cause a CEL for the EGR stuff?
I think thats it,Thank you for your time and very valuable information, I am going to keep looking for these answers but I thought it couldnt hurt to post a thread while I'm looking, Have a good one SR20 forum members,

I recently swapped out my usdm(rod knock) for a jdm sr. (fun fun!)
1. I dont think it will.
2. swap ALL sensors over to be sure
-AAC (attached to the iacv)
-IACV (idle air control valve - near the oil filter)
-Coolant temp sensor
-O2 sensor
- intake air temp sensor
- igniter
these are just a few off the top of my head, but play it safe and swap em all.
5. the ga flywheel wont bolt up to the sr block.
7. just leave the jdm plenum on the jdm runners, it wont throw a cel.

Do you have an sr harness? its not extremely hard to connect everything in the engine bay, but i hear it is easier to connect everything when the motor is out and slip the ecu connector through the firewall when you put the motor in.
LSD FTW bro! do it now while the motor is out, you wont regret it!!!

Yes i have like 3 or 4 SR20DE harness' And the LSD tranny yea its nice BUT I cant afford it right now and Im trying to spend AS LITTLE as possible out of pocket on this swap as its just a temporary thing till I can afford a GTI-R and B15 LSD tranny lol. and I know the FLYWHEEL itsself wont swap Im just wondering about the flywheel bolts, the SR i pulled from my NX2k only had 5 flywheel bolts and 3 automatic flexplate bolts(IDK why..idiots swapped it which is why it blew up lol), and on the intake mani I already slapped my USDM plenuim on to save myself from swapping those sensors lol. But thank you for replying and although you couldnt help with all of them I really do appreciate the ones you did help with.
you can use the ga clutch cable
its actually a fairly easy swap....just take your time and keep everything organized and it will all work out!
to put in perspective we have done one in one night! from running ga16de to running sr20de! hehe
the speed sensors do swap just have to make sure they are the same type and if you search around there is a thread if i remember addressing it...

lol trust me ive been searching since I posted this stuff and the main ones Im worryed about i cant find a straight answer on lol. Like the axles, owner of the b13 the tranny came from told me 1.6 driver and 2.0 passenger but his mechanictry is the reason my nx2k blew up( changed the cams or something and didnt torque the cam caps properly and the bolts backed out causing my intake cam to snap into 2 peices) and the Flywheel bolts for some reason he had 5 flywheel bolts and 3 flexplate bolts(flexplate bolts were siliconed in WTF) holding the flywheel on to the nx. and all the sensor information. I know the big ECT and the MAF but other than that IDK if ill need to change out any of the JDM sensors for USDM.
