Well, picked this little car up today for less than a grand. It's a 1991 Nissan Sentra SE-R (B13 Chassis) with the factory SR20DE (Non turbo version of the motor that is in my 240SX). The motor has a spun rod bearing, but other than that runs fine, ha ha. Thanks to a buddy I have a spare engine sitting on the side of my house from his G20, so I'm good to go!
This car I am building as my not only my winter daily driver, but as my purpose built autox car! That's right, I am going to build this car for a certain SCCA class to compete in autox next year! I'll have to figure out what class I am going to shoot for first, but for now, I'm just going to be getting the car ready for the winter! I want to keep the budget under $3000 if I can!
Now for pics in the condition I picked it up in!

Body looks clean and looks to not have any major dents on it, thats a steal for less than a grand.
for the age of these cars, i'm not very concerned about Mechanicals as they are an easy fix, its the Chassis and electricals that i always watch out for specially here in the Philippines, Majority of B13's are Rust buckets due to the Tropical climate and Floods plus Salt Air.
Best of Luck on the project, looks to be a good start
Yeah, the only body part that I'm going to replace is the driver side door. That's where the majority of the blemishes are (a crack at the bottom, and above the door handle is the only rust on the entire car!). Other than that, the body is in great shape!
The rear is low because it has cut springs in the back. Trust me, I'm looking into replacement suspension ASAP!
Awesome setup man! Your car is nice and clean! Reminds me of my S13, lol (well, before the dipstick came up and sprayed oil everywhere, ha ha). After I get the engine buttoned up, I am going to work on suspension for sure. I don't know what class I'll be running yet, I still have to do some research, lol.
Well, I finally got my replacement engine on the engine stand! It's out of a 91 G20, so it's even the same year motor as the car. Engine has about 180k on it I believe, but it doesn't have a rod knock! lol
anyone else bnotice the very sexy 240 next to the b13 ?

Lol, thanks! That's my baby. It has an SR20DET with a Twin Scroll GT3071R...
I'm building it for circuit racing / time attack in the long run, but for now, it's just a bad-ass street car, ha ha. Being in college takes up way too much time and money! lol
I also have a stockish S13 convertible as well. I love my Nissans!
Basically, lol. I'm also going to be installing a lot of new gaskets, water pump and other stuff to clean up the engine and to make it reliable. The engine in the car has a distributor, lol
Well, worked on the car a bit today (Finally!!!) lol. Anyways, I basically finished cleaning the new motor, and I started to take crap out of the engine bay....
