AD22VF brakes

I need some more nformation about this upgrade. I went to the junkyard who said they had a pair, but they brought out AD18V brakes (this is what I have now). The 22's are they from a car that has ABS brakes?

AD22 are from NX2000s. I think that some have abs and some don't. check se-r.net.

abs has nothing to do with it. all nx2000's have the ad22vf's. the nx i got mine from didnt have abs. it is an nx2000 your trying to get the brakes from right?

I was asking for calipers from an NX2000, and their yard man brought out the AD18 calipers. I then went to a local parts store and talked with the owner. He looked up the parts and told me that the manuals tell him that there are three different calipers put on the B13 chassis. The ABS caliper had the largest diameter piston, therefore I am under the assumption that these are the AD22VF calipers. I understand that the junk yards use manuals that list compatible parts ,so their manuals list the same caliper for the NX2000, and the SE-R. I am just looking for a little clarification on this.

just ask for ones with ABS, then you get the right part. Doesn't matter if you have ABS or not. They'll still work

Most parts manuals are wrong. The 'agreed standard' around here is just to ask for NX2000 ABS brakes, that WILL get you AD22VF's.

Thanks Chris, I will do just that. BTW, got my springs on last weekend and they are very good, no more bottoming out I had on the older ones. The ride is firm but not so bad as my teeth rattle. I am looking forward to trying them out at the Porche club driving school this weekend.

search here for "ad22" to get the scoop, including part numbers.
