alright, i may not be the brightest person in the world, but i know i'm not stupid. and something is going on here.... i bought some polished ad22vf calipersand i don't think i have all the parts... here's what i have:
calipers:
mounting arms:
misc hardware:
and that's ALL i have. can someone tell me what i'm missing? i know i'm missing some bolts but i don't know what the correct ones would be. and if anyone can give me some tips on assembling these things, that'd be great too.
You will need a total of four bolts for each caliper. Two are the caliper slid pin things, and two bolt the torque mount to the hub. I THINK you should be able to use the old bolts for the torque mount. The caliper pins im not sure. Oh, and you need brake pads .
You need the elusive AD22 torque members. Good luck finding them, the only way to buy them is to get a set of loaded rebuilt calipers, and even then, not all brands include them.
i was also given a set of used pads which will be good for breaking in the new slotted roters i'm getting, i didn't think it'd be worth showing a pic of them. i plan on buying a set of non-abrasive pads and some good brake fluid. any recomendations?

any write ups on how the torque mounts connect to the calipers? looking at the bolts that i have there's no threads for it to screw into the mounting arms. i a bit confused...
The slider pins thread into the calipers and go through the torque members where those rubber accordion things are.
AS for pads, what are you looking for in a pad? Axxis ultimates are pretty much the best street pad but they wil be a bit harsher on the rotors that a conventional pad. I am running EBC greenstuff, alot of people bitch about them, but unless you run a roadcourse they will be fine. I've had them for a year and a half with no problems. They fade if you brake from 150mph to 30moh but how often do you do that? If you want a pad that lasts long and is fairly resistant to fade, get genuine nissan.
Yeah, you can use the stock bolts for the torque members, you just need a set of slide pins for those calipers. You can get them about any auto parts place.
