Re: Teins are being made for the B13!

i run D2 dampers in my S13..theyre NICE dampers...im running a spring rate of 9kg/7kg (actually thinking about going 12/10 at the moment) and it does the trick for drifting =) dont let people tell u theyre some cheap taiwanese POS becasue they most deffinatly are NOT...if you want a REALLY nice setup and dont feel like paying the hefty price Tein wants for their dampers..then i DEFFINATLY recommend the D2s...im glad i did

Re: Teins are being made for the B13!

How do we know these will be any good? I thought items had to be tested for R&D? Not to bag on them, but I would prefer to buy at least some of my products that have been race proven and tested. What would the difference be between those and buying some NEX or Hayame's, where you know nobody has done any research on. Just a test fit and drive down the road and then start selling to the consumer. Did you know JIC's are made in Korea?

When o, when are these Teins gonna get made? If not I'll go with D2s or Progress.

Re: Teins are being made for the B13!

Well, i guess since Tevs is gone... damn. Is this all upon me *** I hope not. Guys I havent spoken with anyone at Tein in a LONG time. They really pissed me off a long time ago. As far as i know they said they are just making springs. But maybe theyve been paying attention to our crowd lately and have seen the D2s come out etc. I figured the springs would be on the shelf by now. they told me June. HAH. Slow mofos. I reccomend the D2s anyway I like them.

Re: Teins are being made for the B13!

You have D2s? Did you get them from ADV auto parts? When did you order them? I ordered mine in March or April, and haven't gotten them yet. I've emailed them a several times in the last few weeks and they responded once, asking me when I ordered them. I gave them a prompt reply and have had no word since. It's been six f'n months, and I'm fixin to get pissed!

I talked to Tein USA today , they said they had the prototypes back from japan. They fit and they had to work on the valving some. They said a possible December release date.

Sooo.... that means 2010, right? Hopefully not, but it's been a big waiting game so far.

When I was at Nopi, Tein had a booth set up, so I asked them about it. He said around christmas release date, with just the basics and SS being made coilover wise.
