Is there no basic coilover setup for the B13? I only see an SS option, and I think I'll heed their warning about using the SS on street cars especially with Michigan roads being complete and utter sh*t. Unless of course some of you guys have the SS set up and you say they're tolerable and most importantly safe for street use. I dunno, I'm a complete noob searching for wisdom.

Appearntly Tein does make pillowball mounts for the B13

Quote:
Dear Joel

Thank you for your inquiry.

We have pillow ball upper mounts for B13 (90.1~93.12).

The part numbers are

Front: 212 410 A (camber adjustable)

212 411 AS (camber rigid) normal stroke, for straight spring only, need optional spring upper seat

Rear: 212 420 A (camber adjustable) for straight spring only, need optional spring upper seat

212 421 AS (camber rigid) normal stroke, for ID 75mm straight spring only

Also, the product are all for Japanese inland version so we are not sure whether if they can be used on the foreign vehicle.

Please refer our distributor before you purchase.

Sincerely

Yukihi Zhou

How does the Tein SS compare to the Progress coilovers? I'm in the market for something for daily driving and AutoX. I'm currently on blown stock suspension with 150k miles on them.

Can someone with the Teins comment? I'd really like some comparisons with the Progess coilovers.

Thanks.

I have the SS on my 92. They are a bit harsh on the street but on the track the payoff is excellent. Im not a hardcore track junkie but i try to get out a couple times a year to have fun. Im sure there are better setups out there but for the money they are excellent. The last track event i went to was in NM at a small track with lotsa tight turns. The Tein setup soaked up the FIA berms with out upsetting the balance thru the turn. Well hope you guys find that helpful.
