Good day for the DET

So...I was happily watching the real world this morning round noon, looking forward to seeing the infamous segment where malik's new girl (from a road rules series) has sex with some other guy in the Interview booth(!!)...
Well, my mom had just started to leave the driveway on her way to make the appt. we had for "family portraits (woo hoo!!)" today...
So while I'm watching road rules, I hear my mom come back in the door, almost ready to cry, and she tells me "I just smashed your car!" I was like "WTF?!?" cause I didn't hear sh*t, so I figured it was nothing, maybe just a small bump/cracked headlight, something along those lines.
I walk outside...what do I see? A fu*kED UP SE-R LOOKING AT ME! (hehe...that was funny)
Here's my list of damages:
-Shattered right headlamp
-crumpled hood
-bent radiator reinforcement
-cracked radiator
-scratched up upper face of my bumper (completely missed hitting it)
-fu*ked up grill (approx 20 man hours of my hard work )
*NO FRAME OR FENDER DAMAGE!!

Damage to my mom's Escape:
-a couple scratches on the vinyl bumper cover...which is good and bad.

Apparently she had known that my car was there a second before, but was so infuriated by my older sister who was running extremely late for the picture appointment, that she totally disregarded my car, and decided to exit the driveway, which my car was parked at the end of (to allow room for the cars to be manuvered around), at an abnormally high rate of speed (over 10 mph, in reverse on a 50ft driveway)...
Good news...nobody's hurt.
Bad news, I don't have a fu*kin' car till I buy a new radiator at least, which I won't be able to do till I get an insurance adjuster out to look at the car...I will be fixing the car myself, when I get the money, damage to the parts that dont' need to be replaced are just scratches in the beautiful paint job...

Will have pictures up probably tuesday, when I have my digi cam and the adjustor comes out to look at her...

Jake

BTW...nothing in the engine compartment besides the radiator was hurt...whew! (that turbo stuff is spensive shyt

Wow, that was real sad. I wish you good luck with everything bro. I'm sure all of us in here can learn from what happened that anger and driving don't mix to well, so guys please remember to cool off before you take the wheels the next time you're pissed off. There's no reason why an innocent se-r should suffer for your neglegence!!

The same exact thing happened to me when I first picked up my NX. I almost always leave before my wife in the mourning and this day was not the case. I was parked at the end of the driveway as were you. She got in her car, pulled it out of the garage, got out to close the garage door, and then got back in the car and backed right into my car. She came in the house and woke my up crying her eyes out. I said Whats wrong. And she say I just smashed into your car. Luck for me there was just a small scrach on the fender. Her Si took most of the damage. Still not enought to warrent time in the shop. I park on the street now when she has to leave before me.
