CleanSE-R is a good choice of username.

I just hit exactly half that with my '92 SE-R last week. My labor of love started on September 28, 1998. Six years, going for another six.

Congratulations!

I passed the twelve year mark this past Feb. Nice to see another "Original Owner" on this forum.

I wish mine looked like that too.

Mine grew up in upstate New York. I bought it when it was 3 and kept it up there another year or two before moving to VA. Just this year it started rusting bad on the kick panels. In fact, I kick one and my foot went in. Yikes!!! At least the engine is still bullet proof at 147K miles.

The EPA rated our cars at 32mpg highway.

That's something I haven't seen at any point of SE-R ownership.

I was thinking the same thing. The best I ever got was about 29mpg in my SE-R. I get about 24-28 in my NX2000 driving to and from work.

I borrowed Ray Kawski's 360,000 mile SE-R while my car was recuperating at his house. On the return trip from Long Island to Pennsylvania, I got got 33+ mpg.
I filled up the tank just before hitting the expressway, and again just as I got off the highway by his house, and was pretty surprised when I calculated the mileage. I think that's the highest mpg ever in my 12 years of B13 ownership, and more than Ray ever got out of that car.

One more original owner....I bought mine on 5/18/1993. 207k now and I didn't even suffer a single major component failure/wearout til the starter went at 185k. I don't know how you keep a northern car that nice-looking, though!

33mpg! Wow! Guess you didn't beat on Rays car hard enough.
Maybe his car is just well broken in at 360K + miles.

Lots of washing (yes even in the winter) and waxing. The first 10 years of it's life it was parked outside all day and night but, I did use a car cover all the time.

Get Scarpulla going on that turbo project already!!! I have been hearing about that for months. Let's not make it years.
