Got car back from alignment check..oh boy

I got my Car back from firestone and the tell me my car needs C.V. Joint (left-Outer) Axle boot is cracked.... needs to be replaced

I got the stock C.V. Joint but i want to know if its a job I can do or do i need to take it to a shop. i really do want to pay for something i can do myself.

it pretty easy you'll need a 32mm deep socket, a pry bar and a breaker bar, other than that basic hand tools is all you need

I did the pass side in about a half hour the other day. Its pretty easy.

i helped change one on a civic, i dont know that much to say that they are the same, but it wasnt hard, the hardest part was taking the lug nuts off the tires

Are you gonna re-pack it? They are difficult to properly service on the car. When you have it off the car and clean you can tell better what the story is. It really depends on how long its been like that, and what kind of crap got inside it, (or didn't if you are lucky)

Remanned axles is what a lot of people get because they are cheap. The problem is the quality varies greatly, and they usually aren't rebuilt all that well.
