which engine do I have?

My stepson's 93 threw a rod, the bottom #1 rod (left of the dipstick) was poking out of the block!! Anyway, we ordered engine from soshin. I just noticed today that the new engine has no O2 sensor hole in the exhaust manifold. We had to swap in the old exhaust and intake manifold. They're both highport. My question is, what year is this engine? I thought all B13 engine has O2 sensor hookup in the exhaust. Anyway I can find out what engine I have by reading off some serial number? Just very curious. Thank.

Its the same to what you had before, just jdm It comes with no egr BS, It had no o2 probably cause the car it came out of had a standalone ecu or something...

I believe the exhaust manifold that came on the JDM engine had the O2 sensor in the lower exhaust manifold pipe (the one that goes under the engine). Use your USA-style manifolds. ALso, dont forget to switch over the coolant temp sensors.

Well, the engine is in and seems to run fine. We had to use the old intake manifold. I also noticed something, changing a starter on SR20DE would be a hell of a job with the engine in the car. How the hell does one even get to that second bolt? The new motor seems to run even stronger. Is the JDM motor stronger? If so, by how much?

You could have the 10:1 motor. Was the exhaust manifold on the jdm motor tubular or cast iron like your stock one?

Hum, it looks like an exhaust manifold.
