Removing cylinder head

We're trying to take apart our broken engine. How the hell do you remove the ten allen bolts that hold the head in? Are they reverse thread? I have impact wrench and it did nothing. Is there some sort of trick or they just take a lot of brute force? Thank.

They will take at least 100 ft-lb to break free.

You need 1/2" breaker bar and the allen socket to remove it. You might need 2 people to break the bolts. Good luck.

Yup, about one minute with impact, then long 1/2" breaker bar and lot of grunt did the job. That is one long bolt, with a very long thread. Imagine those cost a few pennies. Now, how do I seperate the head? Use BFH?? We're not worrying about breaking it, just want to see the inner working of the engine.

It isn't that bad.
If you have trouble removing those head-bolts, you need to:

a) Visit the gym more often.
b) Add spinach into your diet.
c) Both of the above.
