about to purchase GC/AGX. What to expect?

Well, after constant debating, missing the Hyperco B13 group buy, and almost purchasing H&Rs, I'm almost 100% on Ground Control. The only things that worry me is that it might be noisy and it might be stiff to the point of uncomfortable. I would like to order them in 250/200, i dont know whether that will make a noticeable difference over 300/200. I just want a competent car, a car with good handling and a good ride. Right now, the stock suspension gives a tolerable ride, but the handling is jarring to say the least, and at high speeds, any sudden move is dangerous. Keep in mind that my stock bushings are fine (if it aint broke, dont fix it).

I've been reading and searching the forum on this topic religiously for about three months, ever since I made the decision to change my springs/struts as soon as I had the $$$. Well, before I place my order on Ground Control/AGX, I need some final opinions on whether or not this is a good street setup that will NEVER see track or auto-x. Is the ride really that bouncy? Opinions wanted before I spend $800.

BTW, installation pretty straightforward?

Just don't lower the car more than an inch.

GCs might be overkill for a non track or autocross setup. That being said, the ride will be stiffer, but not that bad. I was afraid of the same thing, but I found the ride was better with the GCs with 325/325 springs, than the prokits I had before. Follow the duct tape install method, and they will be quiet. Mine make no noise at all. Have you checked with Rick or Chirs to see if there are any Gen2s left? Those will be much beter for the setup you are looking for.

No more Gen2's, but I'm going to post something in the next few days. Hyperco made 26 extra sets of Gen 2 rears. If we were to contract a run for 26 front sets to go with them, their price to us would go up because we'd basically be ordering 1/4 of normal order of 50 or more sets. (52 front springs instead of the usual 100 front/100 rear).

AGXs will crash some over bumps, even with stock springs, but the "scary sudden moves" will be a thing of the past.
