My new classic SE-R

Well folks,

Now I can fit into this section of the forums. I am now the proud owner of a 1992 Sentra SE-R The body is mint and the color is right on. Things that it could use that I would really like are power windows, power locks, a sunroof, and possibly a different color. Any of you Classic gurus if you have any suggestions or tips and hints please do not hesitate to share your thoughts. I am open to suggestions and or changes. Here are a few pics I like.

You can view the rest here

Welcome to the wonderful world of classics! how much did you pay for her?

if you are going to change anything, at least make the grill the same color as the car....and even the mirrors and door handles.

i have a moonroof :p but being without power locks and windows is something we gotta bear with

Want power locks and windows? This isn't some Pillsbury Doughcar. You'll have to make due with the 7500RPM redline, highport SR20, independent rear suspension, and awesome seats.

Nice choice on the red '92 SE-R - you couldn't have done any better.

how many miles does it have?
i think you should paint the center caps and clean out those headlamps with some CLR or if you want a really clean look replace them like i did.

CONGRADULATIONS!!!!
First thing I would do is paint those center caps and tune it up!! Then get a 94 bumper. She looks in good shape though!!!

The AZTECS are taking over this joint!!!!!

Well if you saw the pics you would see that she has 167K on her now. All tune-up parts are on order as well as foglights and possibly the Latin B13 headlights. As for the rims they will shortly be removed to put on there the OEM 15" B14 SE-R wheels. Who knows what else will come but I just want to get it running right for now. I will keep you guys posted.

Get outtah here you sold you 200sx? Thats after all the mods you put into it too? But its all good considering the money you get back can be invested in a nice paint job, suspension and det or built all motor...then by next season you can be doin 13's instead of the 15's. Good choice Peter but i think i like white better.

Yeah man I think any other color than red would have done me right. I would like to go with a Storm Grey like on the 300ZX's. A buddy a mine has one that color and I just love it. Plus when I get my wheels on there it would match so perfectly with the gunmetal colored wheels. I'll be out sooner than you think Simon so watch out.

Congrats on the purchase Peter. Looks like you got a good one. much better shape than the '92 I picked up. You don't want a sunroof though. They reduce the ridgidity of the body which is bad for handleing. Besides, post '91 SE-Rs with out sunroofs are kind of rare, so be happy. Power windows add weight while manual window cranks add character.

another plus in not having that sunroof is it weighs around 50 lbs. which makes your car top heavy.
congrats on the new/used classic.

But i'm just so used to the sunroof since all my cars had em. I jsut want it back thats all. But i'll guess i'll make due with what i've got. Keep an eye out for new pics with the SER wheels on them.
