Wonderful. You have an order. And if this one works out, potentially 5 more.

Thanks for the order, got payment, ill get the kit out the door today, if not it will leave monday. Let me know how the install goes. Looking around, seems like hondas have that same 1/8 bspt port on their motors too

Oooh your sh*t is always awesome Pat. Only concern I have is that I am using a Greddy oil pressure gauge.. greddy seems to use the BSPT standard along with the stock oil pressure sender unit and it would be nice to use my gauge and be able to hook up the stock oil pressure sending unit. Any alternatives for me?

Hey Pat was just putting together the push-lite hose and ends together on racepartsolutions.com and it doesn't look like they show the -4AN 90* push-lite hose end. Do you know any other place we can source this part from?

Update: For those that are NA, PeterJ has been running this sucker on his B14 for some time now, seen several track events and did some data logging with his ultra pimp SPA gages.

Background: We origionally put two bungs into his lower oil pan, one for a temp probe, and the other a return line for this block. We initially ran the temp probe in his lower oil pan to get some good base line oil temperatures. We hooked up the oil dist block, and ran the oil pressure sender there, dead ending right at the block.

Oil pressure and oil temps read normally. (prolly hit up Peter for some actual temps)

Changes: After some time we then, took the oil temp probe, stuck it into the oil dist block, put a 0.060" restrictor hole in there, then rerouted the oil feed (which would normally go to the turbo) and fed it back into the lower oil pan, this created a small loop for the oil to circulate thru the dist block for temp readings. He ran this for some time as well.

Results: While having the temp probe located in the lower oil pan, he saw the oil temps go up and down pretty quickly as the car was pushed hard (like on the track). This is by far the best location to put an oil temp sender, period.

When we made the change, he witnessed the oil temps move up and down, but it was delayed and not in *real time* like the first setup. This, in my opinion, was partly due to the volume of oil that is moving thru the block (not too much with the 0.060" restrictor in there) and partly due to the fact that the aluminium acts as a heat sink. In addition, the block is located away from the block on the axle bracket, im sure this isolates it from the heat of the motor and some cooling takes place there.

He was still getting fairly accurate temp readings, it just took a bit more time to get them.

So all in all, im sure you NA guys could run this with a return in the pan, but since you have to weld in a bung for the return line, might as well just weld in a bung for the temp probe instead....

Anyway, just thought Id update with the findings...

Is there enough oil in the oil pan the entire time while driving hard to give accurate readings?

Apparently so...this wasnt a 100+ mph track, but pretty technical.
