B13/B14 Front BABK in development

Im getting ready to wrap up a BABK GB for the B15/P11 guys here shortly, Im just wondering who would be interested in a set built for the B13/B14 platform. Here are the specs that it would be made to.

My Stuff:
-Matching Hat with hardware
-Dogbone with hardware
-SS Brake lines for front

As with the other BABK kits I make, I only sell what I can produce. Calipers, pads, rotors are all sourced thru other places and you would have to get those on your own.

Ill be building a prototype set reguardless just to have this under my belt, but wondering who would be willing to get in on a group buy for these. Just so you know, GB's of 5 or more are the only way I can keep material prices down by purchasing in quantity.

The last GB price was $475 for my stuff (prices subject to change), plus SS brake lines for the front. So speak up if you think this is a good idea.

yeah, my bad, my stuff just incudes the hat, dogbones, hardware and SS Lines if need be. Youll have to source rotors, but they are cheap, like $30 for plain vented ones.

Well you got the maxima upgrade for the rears, and the market for a $1000 rear brake kit is limited at best. Plus with aftermarket calipers youll lose the e-brake.

If you want to committ and pay for a rear kit, ill develop it, but its not gonna be cheap.

I looked on their site and only saw maxima rotors for sale for the rear. 90/pair
No calipers/member? What did you get from them brake wise? How much?
was it just the maxima upgrade I can buy at pepboys? Or do they have a rear kit?

As for the front, 60 on rotors, 260-360 (from magnumracing site) for a pair of 4 piston wildwood calipers, 60 on pads comes out 100 to 200 less than fastbrakes. Why would you pay more?

You know, I just realized the pads and rotors are cheaper to replace for these BABK than my AD22s. That's pretty funny, Ferrari brakes with Sentra maintenance costs

the BABK is TOP notch =)

but i too want a rear BABK come on p@ please......

You can get any of the Wilwood Dynalite seriers made for .810" disk thickness. I prefer the forged Dynalites due to forging process. The Narrow Mount Dynalite WILL NOT WORK with my dogbone.

Forged Dynalites with 5.25" centered mounting lugs
120-6806 - Forged Dynalite 1.38" pistons .81" Disc - $117.99 each
120-6811 - Forged Dynalite 1.63" pistons .81" Disc - $117.99 each
120-6816 - Forged Dynalite 1.75" pistons .81" Disc - $117.99 each

Billet Dynalite caliper
120-5005 - Billet Dynalite 1.38" pistons .81" Disc - $131.74 each
120-4937-P - Billet Dynalite (Polished only) 1.63" pistons .81" Disc - $180.35 each
120-4997 - Billet Dynalite 1.75" pistons .81" Disc - $131.74 each

The Rotors you have several choices, the best and probably cheapest are the plain vented UL-32 series with a 8 hole pattern 7" on center, but any Wilwood rotor that is .81" thick and an 8 x 7" hole pattern will work, these are a few of them.

Ultra-Light UL and ULHP straight vane rotors (1.25 thick shown)
160-0277 UL32 Vented Iron 12.19" x .810 - 8 on 7" - $32.99 each
160-0471 UL32 Vented Iron 11.75" x .810 - 8 on 7" - $30.99 each
High Precision Turned Rotors
160-5843 UL32 HP Vented Iron 12.19" x .810 - 8 on 7" - $69.38 each
160-5841 UL32 HP Vented Iron 11.75" x .810 - 8 on 7" - $69.38 each

ULS - 32 Series Scalloped Rotors
160-8136 UL32 Ventend Iron Scalloped 12.19" x .810 - 8 on 7" - $89.95 each
160-8135 UL32 Ventend Iron Scalloped 11.75" x .810 - 8 on 7" - $89.95 each

ULD - 32 Series Drilled Straight Vane Vented Rotors (1.25" thick shown)
160-5868 UL32 Vented Iron Drilled 12.19" - 8 on 7" - $51.99 each
160-5863 UL32 Vented Iron Drilled 11.75" - 8 on 7" - $49.99 each

SRP Drilled Performance Rotors
160-7101 Vented Iron RH-SRP Drilled 11.75" x .810 - 8 on 7" - $124.93 each
160-7102 Vented Iron LH-SRP Drilled 11.75" x .810 - 8 on 7" - $124.93 each
160-7103 Vented Iron RH-SRP Drilled 12.19" x .810 - 8 on 7" - $124.93 each
160-7104 Vented Iron LH-SRP Drilled 12.19" x .810 - 8 on 7" - $124.93 each

Pads, any of the 7112 series of pads, check with Wilwood for the best pad for your application. Personally, I run the Q compound daily, and the H compound on the track with the G.

Also, double check these part numbers for yourself. www.wilwood.com , prices provided by www.precisionbrakes.com

Hope that answers your question, there are a lot of options to choose from.

Ok, Im interested in picking a one of these Brake kits for my B14 but Im getting a lil confused now....is it:

$475 (Your Hardware which includes Two Piece Rotors either 11.75" or 12.19" by .810" thick vented, Matching Hat with hardware, Dogbone with hardware and SS lines)

plus

A pair of 120-6816 - Forged Dynalite 1.75" pistons .81" Disc - $117.99 each x 2

Total = $710.98 (Not including Pads)

Correct me if Im wrong please, Im interested in finding out the total cost im looking at.

Allan

okay I edited my fist post finally. Here it is agin..

My stuff
-Matching Hat with hardware
-Dogbone with hardware
-SS Brake lines for front

You need to buy this stuff elsewhere
-Pads
-Rotors
-Calipers

Please note: The $475 price + shipping is only if I have 5 or more buyers (and thats subject to change due to material price/gas fluctuation) IF you want to buy a single kit look for the price of my stuff to be around $600

P@,

Are you thinking/planning for this setup to clear 15" wheels? Or only w/ spacers, etc?

Also, how's the website coming that shows all of your excellent products?

Thanks,

Josh

hey Josh...I dont know what spacer requrirements Ill need with this setup. On the P11, i run into interferrence with the caliper with the stock 15" rims. Dont know if ill have that issue with the B13/14 and stock rims or not...thats with a 11.75" rotor. The website is being worked on...

The hats are 7075-T6 and dogbones are 6061-T6

Sweet I'm glad you got a chance to work on this Pat

15" wheels should be fine and some will even work without a spacer. I know Jim/Jason ran/runs 15x7 Volk TE37s with the old (same size) SMC BABK without a spacer.

Yeah, the P11 - 11.75" rotor/caliper combo, will just barely squeeze under a stock P11 15" rim if you shave part of the caliper....but its super tight....Im sure any after market rim will have gobs of clearance.
