CS - B13 Solid Front Dogbone (gauging interest + poll)

After one round of prototyping, and some test fitting, this is now available for sale.

it should minimize the install issues, and provide just a bit more clearance. I wont take this unit down any further. If you still need more room, i suggest you hack into the unit, its pretty beefy so theres room, but im letting you guys fine tune it.

By far the easiest way to install this is going to be lowering the crossmember, you dont have to remove it, but just get it out of the way.

The new design allows the top bolt to be reached with a wrench from the drivers side. Places the mount 1/8 closer to the block, and reduces the amount of material above the mount.

Considering its the holidays, im going to do a special offer on these...heres the deal, and this deal is only until Janurary 1st, 2007

- $125 each.
- two or more the price is $115 each.
- Price includes shipping.
- International peeps, kick in an additional $10 to cover the added shipping expence).
- I have enough material for 9 of these units, if more than 9 people pay, I will order more material to cover the additional units.
- After Janurary 1st, the price will be $150 a unit
- The rubber mount is NOT included.
- paypal is bossman@customsteel.com

I will also contribute $5 of each one sold from now until Dec 14th, to the 2007 SR20forum Toys for Tots donation drive. Now there is even more reason to get in on this early.

I should have units ready to ship early next week. Well there you have it.

I would be first in line for this. I made one similar but lost it during the install of my nitrous motor.

I would be interested. I am using the Place Racing solid mounts but they do not include the dogbone. This would be for an 1995 Infiniti G20

^ Youve never looked at your front crossmember have you? This wouldnt even come close to working on a P10.

Get a prothane a modify it.

It's about time someone does this again. Are you using aluminum or steel?

It would be out of aluminium...but ive got some rotational issues to address...the design above would not let the motor rotate if you bolt it in as is....murrff...

Yeh, if you could make a shorter one for the aviner(w11)/blue bird (u13 ) FMIC turbos that would be cool.

I'm not sure the distance, but I think it may be more of a clearence issue between the compressor housing and the dogbone, like in the picture below:

A new bracket that brought the top bolt lower would be ideal. Give room in two ways that way!

That's the one I had made for my brother. Well, that's my brother's car. I think I paid around 40-45 to have this made. So if this can be produced out of a solid piece of aluminum for relatively the same price.. That would be great!
