CS - Oil Relocation Block

Okay guys, this is the latest development coming out of Custom Steel for the SR20. Its an oil relocation block. This bolts onto the back of the block replacing the oil filter spout. That being said, you also have to find yourself a remote oil filter bracket of sorts, and associated tubing to go with this. This is shown on a high port engine.

edit update

Here are some photos of what is actually in the kit that im selling

blue aluminium fitting shown for illustration purposes

The red dot illustrates where a port for oil pressure sender would go, either the stock 1/8 bspt or a 1/8 NPT for aftermarket guages.

Edit, the red dot is no longer the place where the 1/8 bspt port will be, it will look like this.

Comes with the block, both oil seals, and two -10 AN oring boss fittings. Price is $175 w/o fittings, $185 with straight fittings, and $200 with 90* fittings.

Looks like it should clear the PS pump. I'll wait for Pat to have the final say though. As long as it does, I'll take one. I also want one each of your water temp adaptors, Pat. Please pm me or let me know on here how much all 3 shipped would be. Thanks!

The top photo with one more zinc plated fitting is all youll get. So thats the block plus two -10AN fittings that screw into the block, and two oil seals that will fit on the back side of the block up against the motor.

What you can do is run oil lines out the neck and mount a filter about anywhere. SOme people run the lines along the passenger side to a filter mounted up front by the radiator. Not sure where mine will be, it would be nice to have it down low in the back, slide under with a dolly and pull the filter while you undo the drain plug on the oil pan! THat would be nice!

I would try and mount mine like a RX7. Higher and still in the upright position. perfect for draining.

You can mount the oil filter where ever you want to. Ive seen a couple of setups where the filter was mounted near the front underneath the ABS pump on the frame there.

Yeah, the next phase of this is gonna be a new steering rack clamp that has a flat face to bolt stuff too...this might work well for mouting a remote filter kit there, plus it will make the lines really short.

Im asking about $185 for this unit with the male fittings coming out of it. I can probably do the 1/8 bspt on there, I just gotta check and see if there are any clearance issues with it.

Nope, this unit is strictly for oil filter/cooler relocation, its got huge 5/8" lines (-10an) coming out of it for semi long runs of hose up to the front of the engine.

That looks really nice. You should make a nice billet remote filter mount too. That way you could sell the complete kit with the lines and everything.

Glad to hear you like our hose ends.
