just got back from the track and had major traction issues thru 4th gear,seriously..you can ask a few forum members.it was nutts...the car went 10.95@136 smoking the tires right thru the trap....friggon unbelievable...this car has some major sack and i have some work ahead of me getting it to hook up...
Lol I got a friend with a Daytona that tried 26" slicks. Broke an axle and then the tranny. Car made 525whp on the dyno, best run to date is 7.4(1/8th mile) at 18lbs of boost. Motor is setup for 35lbs of boost lol.
They actually didn't seem TOO big on the Daytona. He normally runs 24.5's. He turned the boost up to 24lbs once and left black marks half way down the track he was spinning them so bad. At this point he's having some parts made for the tranny so that it can hold up to the load of hp and big slicks.
Damn car looks good with 26's on it. I really thought it'd take more than a 7.2 to get 10's in the quarter as well. The 60ft really shows the size of the slicks though lol.

that was the first time i ever went with fred to the track and that car is insane it just fries the tires every gear and it still goes 10.9 if that thing ever hooks i would love to see what it does
Fred, you really need the AEM EMS. It will set boost, has launch control, staged boost and will keep the boost up between shifts!
Brent
i know what you saying brent....but i'm trying to go as fast and reliable as i can with no stand alone and no other type of fancy electronics...hell i still have a stock ignition coil...lol
back in the 10's again fred....whats that 2 10sec. drivetrains u have accomplished, get the car to hook and u should see a 9sec pass like no problem.the car is FnSik,glad i could be part of thr pit crew and help ya out
Did you trap 136 in 4th gear or did you shift into 5th.If it was in fourth most likely your reving over 8k.I just asking cause I will like to know if its better to stay on fourth or waste alittle time and shift into 5th.
