OK so what happens if you swap the B15 final drive for the B13 or P11 final drive. Would that increase the top end speed?
That would lower the maximum speed. But you cant just swap around final drives. You have to swap the pinoin gear that goes with that final drive or your tranmission will sound like an airplane.

I don't want to sound like a newb here, but i've been searching and i can't seem to find the answer to my question.
I blew my old b13 lsd tranny and got a p10 non-lsd tranny to replace it due to availability. i still have the old b13 tranny and i want the lsd back. i hate not having lsd. it's a major pita, especially in the snow.
what can i do to use the lsd in my old tranny? should i just swap over the p10 gear stacks to the b13 or the driverside case and lsd to the p10?
i'm not sure if there's a difference in the bell housing between the two, and i don't want to tear them both apart to find i wasted my time since it is my only car. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks, guys.

On nissanforums they said apparently that JDM N13 and N14 have same final drive as NX1600, 4.471, but the N13 gearbox won't fit on our cars (you could still take the final drive gear to use in another box though).
For better low-end acceleration (from a stop, or hammering out of corners), which of the setups as-is would be best? I have the USDM GA tranny now, and I find it less than ideal, though fuel-efficient. Which one, an NX1600 or a JDM tranny, would be better? I dont care about top speed.

What blew on the b13??
I would swap the b13 lsd case and final drive over to the p10 transmission. you can only do this if the final drive ratios are the same. So p10 transmission have different final drives then b13s
Those aren't right according to my b13. I've checked mine with gps and it's accurate. I'm doing aobut 80 at 4000rpm in 5th. 3200 is 65. I would have been pulled over a whole lot if that thing was right. Maybe it's tires? I don't know the circumferance of a 205/50/15....
