Pre-Install: I had backed out of my friends driveway and as I shifted into reverse, the shifter mount broke and my shifter was resting on my exhaust. It appeared that the little rubber piece in the middle of the bracket, wore away and broke off.

Tools Needed: Drill with multiple sized bits, 12mm wrench (I used a racheting), Air tools help.
Parts: 6 Washers, 3 Nuts, 3 Lock Washers, 3 Bolts, 1 steel block (will have to cut to size).
First I took off the 2 nuts (one on each link) of the 2 shift linkages.
Next I drilled the bolts out of the little plate under the shift boot. There are 2 weired looking bolts near the back of the plate that I drilled out. You will replace the bolts with better, longer bolts.
With the linkage out, I replaced the old, worn out spring, with a new one. I also drilled a hole on the other side and put another spring on.

I then got a block of steel and cut holes into it. The block was about 4in (w) x 3in (h) x 3/4 - 1in (deep). To find where you want to bolt the shifter into the block of sttel, measure the rubber section to the screw. It was about 3/4 inch from the top. After that, I went to the bottom of the block and drilled through about 1/2 in up, so my shifter would sit lower. This makes it 4-way adjustable (Higher than stock, stock, low, lower). I then aligned the plate with the top of the block and marked where I needed to drill. I drilled through the top and bottome so the screws could go in to mount.

Now it was time to install. I put the linkage back in the front. Then I bolted the block of steel where the old bracket mounted. I put better screws into the plate on the top and ran them through. It is a good thing to have someone hold the top screws, so you can tighten the nuts. Also, use lock washers. You then line the shifter up to the hole you want to put it in and put a screw through and tighten it down.
Note: I took off the entire center console so it would be easier for everything.

That is the bolt that mounts the shifter into the block.
Now you have a great feeling shifter. It sits lower and shifts much smoother. I have not grinded gears as much and I shift much faster. Thats all. Now go mod your shifter. Sorry for the quality of the pictures. Hope it works for you guys.
Note: Some people have experienced over 30 whp gain with this mod.
