You said the 02-03 spec tranny has different gearing from the 04-06 spec tranny. I would think that would denote a different transmission code, I could be wrong but there does seem to be two different codes.
When I was looking through the FSM to find the transmission code they listed those codes for those years for the SE-R Spec-V. So if someone were to order a transmission online or over the phone they could specifically ask for the code in case the transmission is not in the car. 02-03 did have an SE-R NON Spec-V with a manual transmission with a different code. I just want to make sure it was clarified so no one bought the wrong transmission
You are making this harder than it needs to be
09/01 to 08/03 Thats 2002-2003
09/03 to 08/06 Thats 2004-2006
So you call and say do you have the year car you are looking for they say yes I need these parts.

I have just done a lot of research. the 2003 trans i have seen that it can be the older gearing, or the newer. HOWEVER. the 2003 trans with the newer gearing is the one that has the synchro problems and has trouble shifting. i have also learned that it has a few other problems which they changed going into 2004. Personally with having problems and discrepancies with the 2003, i would not want to try that, then have something break, or wind up with the wrong ratios.
I have found from nissan, that the 03 trans could have either gearset. the 02 or the 04. why? I dont know. I have talked to a lot of people on b15sentra.net and friends at the dealer as well.
I posted up the gear ratio's off of nissans website.
i know, its just funny thats all..lol. I guess its the differance between taking a bunch of factory sh*t and sticking it all together as opposed to flying over the pacific ocean to get to london.

so if you do this swap and the front Brembo brakes are availiable you could use them without doing any drilling to the rotor since you are useing the spec V spindles ?

You know you and I are tight but you are not reading the thread. That question could easily be answered in the first post of the thread.
I will asnswer the question, no
If you have a b14, and you do this swap you ill have to redrill the B15 spindle for 4x100. That means you will still have to drill the rotor as it would be 4 x100.
If you are a big baller, then just buy the rear brakes and spindles put them on your B14 but now you will have to put Spec V rims on or buy new rims that are 4x114

This swap will not be for the weak modder. you will need to be able to fabricate some stuff and be able to have some down time. this is not your auto to man swap. This is a little more involved but little by little it wont be as bad. Plus, like Andreas said, you can run a 300zxTT clutch and that will probobly hold most of the power you can put through it.
