It will work.

I am the one who came up with the B15-P11 tranny swap into a B13-B14. I had never done it just yet but I gave the infomation out. What happened it worked flawlessly. Why I checked everything out and made sure he tranny was stronger by pulling it down and eyeing everything.

This will work fine.

The first P11-B15 thing worked so well that you cant even find any of these trannys across the US because the SR20forum guys sucked them up after I broke the news

This is cool info, but what about the clutch splines? I know the input shaft has the smaller of the two Nissan spline patterns, where the Maxima, 240, etc use the larger clutch pattern. I know you can get any size clutch made with any splined hub, but I don't think you'll be able to just through in a 300ZX clutch and have it work. Maybe I missed something??

On the 6-spd trannies yes. And they KICK ASS! I was amazed at how well they worked! During the SERCA convention here in AZ, there were like 5 or more spec-v's running at the track (that were stockers from local dealership and from the nissan testing facility down here).

They were some of the fastest cars on the track! What was most impressive to me was how well they could pull out of the corners! My B13 was one of the faster modded cars that was running on the track and I was able to real them in, but I had suspension, hawk blue brake pads, Motul 600 brake fluid, full bolt on's and kumho DOT slicks!

Those heilical LSD's are NICE.. (I want one!!)

Yeah thats right on 2L tranny.

This is not te 2L tranny. I am using the 240sx clutch or 300zxTT clutch so the spline must be bigger.

good find back in '04 i picked up a '03 6 spd trans with ~6k on it really cheap...cheaper than the P11 trans i also bought. i couldnt find a freaking bell housing and was to lazy to draw up an adaptor plate so i put in the P11 and the 6spd trans has just been sitting in my garage. i might try this out again if my current setup does not work.

Ok i see you said 6 speed s15 flywheel but my question is it REQUIRED to use the s15 flywheel or would it be BETTER to use that flywheel?

translation-would you be able to use a 5 speed flywheel?

SPEEDS ARE WITH A 205/50r15 TIRE, RPMs are set for 8000
thats amazing what the difference in tire size and 1750 more rpms do to make the car do 68 in 2nd gear(04-06), i had an 05 spec ...i think top speed in 4th in the spec v is 99mph

Off the top of my head there is only ruffly 6" between the fire wall and the shock tower on the NX. Not knowing the size of the Spec V master cylinder for the clutch, is that enough room to fit that in that space with out doing some firewall moding ? Is that about the same amount of room as the B13 ? I have never had a close look at one since no one really mods them in Canada.
