These are reman B14 LSD axles... well the one of the 2 pictured, I got both new reman B14 LSD axles, the pass side went in no prob, but the drivers side... Oiy.
Are these new axles still not it?
I give it a good whack, and feels like it seats... or at least I think it does. The circlip seats into it's spot and this is how far it sits out.... I can't get it to move any more, nor do I want to try....
well... I will assure you that that B15 LSD axle fit in a 2001 LSD B15 Trans, and a B14 NON LSD hub Kevin and I played with that car, trans and axles for about... a long time
I tought all B15 axle are differnt from B13/B14. If i recall correctley, you need a B13/B14 LSD Drivers Axle, not B15
nope, all LSD equipped B13-B15 cars have the same drivers axle. They all cross reference. Just remember to remove the ABS ring before you install
and I know that all B13-B14 pass side axles are the same, dunno about the B15 pass side axle ***.
Non LSD drivers axle on top, LSD Axle on bottom. the trans spindles are on the right. Note the longer spindle on the LSD axle. Also, the LSD axle is about 2 inches shorter from axle seal to axle seal.
Bought a late P11 transmission (24000 miles approx.) today inc. switches & wiring plugs for £100.
That's $200 for you guys in the U.S.
Will fit it on Tuesday!
Cheers
Dave

Fully built SR20DE+T...452 WHP @ 18 lbs and a broken turbo.
Soon to be upgraded with a GT30R hybrid!
OK today was the day for my and my friend, Ryan, to do the transmission swap.
After ripping apart the whole front end to get the transmission out (no, I can't just take out the tranny, because some idiot installed the SR20 into a car that was never designed for it...LOL!) we pulled apart the stock B14 type tranny to salvage the NISMO LSD.
Upon draining the oil we found several large pieces of metal and the oil was a silvery, grey colour...looks like we got it out just in time. Upon inspection, a number of gears had small chips, including 3rd gear which also had numerous chips and we were both suprised that it has lasted this long.
Anyways, we pulled the NISMO diff. from the B14 tranny and started to pull apart the late P11 tranny.
The only issue we had was getting the annoying clips off the selector forks...apart from that it was easy as pie!
This is where it got a tad worrying...
We compared the two diff's and found the bearings to be the same and all the measurements to be the same, apart from the bolts used to fit the final drive ring gear to the LSD. On the old final drive (B14) the bolts were approx. 12.5mm in diameter and on the new final drive (P11) the bolts are approx. 10.5mm in diameter.
So it looks like we will be drilling the final drive gear to accept the larger bolts.
Sensors
-The reverse and neutral position sensor from the B13 are sized differently than the P11 sensors and can't be swapped. The harnesses are also different.
*I've yet to tackle this, but I plan on rewiring my B13 with the correct harnesses to fit the P11 sensors. Stay tuned for wiring details and part numbers.
Has the wiring details been added yet? I dont remember seeing it.
