Using jwt ecu as base map?

Basically guys this is the situation, I want to do a multi-map program for my se-r. I want an economy program for DD that focuses on max fuel economy rather than power. Next I'd like a normal program that would give me decent power on 87 oct, but I also want a program for E85. Now my jwt ecu is tuned for C2 cams, 370cc inj, 8k rev limit and n2o. The problem is they don't have an E85 tune since its not available in their area but it is where I am. Also a calum ecu can't store more than one program at a time so I'd have to use my laptop to switch between them.

I'm thinking of just sending my ecu back to jwt to get the n2o program removed and just get them to add a stock, POP and race map so I can just retune one of them. I've found that with my road dyno, I only use 24-35whp during DD so a program optimized for that power level should decrease my fuel consumption. Also if I go to the track I'd like to run E85 so I can get the most power for when I need it. Has anyone ever retuned a JWT ecu? Outside of buying a stand alone or keeping a laptop with me at all times, there doesn't seem to be a better way to get the tunes I want. Is selective cylinder deactivation out of the question as well? I did a few trial runs with an injector unplugged and my o2 sensor unplugged so the ecu won't think its running lean. The car did have less pick up but nothing that would cause a problem.

A good tune will be very economical, and safe for high power levels.

I want to increase the resolution in the 1000-4500rpm band to maximized fuel economy. I believe I read that to map engine speeds over 6800rpm you have to take memory away from 1000-3000rpm. My economy program will focus on low end only and probably have a rev limit of 5500-6000rpm. That will give me more room to improve my car's fuel economy with using 87 oct. I also want to be able to turn off a cylinder or 2 at idle so as not to waste more gas while sitting at a light.

I don't know about the sotck/JWT/Calum map size, but with any good stand-alone, you're going to have giant maps. VEMS has 16x14 maps that provide enough points for you to do both your economical, and your power tune on one map. There has to be a better way than dual maps. I'm confident you can get done what you want with one, large map.

Agreed. One large map with lots of resolution will provide excellent fuel economy and fantastic midrange. A few aftermarket ECU's can know store different maps on a SD card(or similiar) so you can switch between the E85 and regualr fuel when needed.
