Need some help and yes another standalone vs jwt, calum.

OK now im deciding to upgrade the ecu soon...now this is my debate..
I was in the z community since i was 17 and alot of them guys don't go with stand alones..i have seen z go 9s with a jwt and afc(of course tuned) .and make over 700whp .so im wondering if i can go with that over the stand alone..i believe that if you have more options there will be more room for error...planning on a high 400 low 500 hp..so does the standalone give you more hp , depending on the tune.or the jwt, calum with afc, depend on the tune..and money is not the issue.

Theoretically, a good tune is a good tune, no matter how you get it. JWT could probably get you there. At the least I'd get a Calum ECU though for adjustability. I'd make sure the Calum ECU can be set-up for the size injectors you're looking to run.

I have stand-alone, so there's my preference in the matter...

I wouldn't do (S)AFC though. Many have luck with it, but it really is not the correct solution. People say it's good for tuning how much detonation you want. Others are very happy with it. They way it works always struck me as odd. Sure, fooling the ECU into providing more fuel sounds great, but I believe it causes off-boost drivability issues. I'm no expert though, never cared to look into it much.
