cam install issues?

Anyone else have a bizatch of a time putting the 1 1/16th" wrench on the stock cams to stabalize it while you take the 24mm one off? I can't get mine on there, because the wrench is too wide! any ideas? I tried pounding it on there with a hammer, but can't get it deep enough to hold the cams from turning!

oh, and second, I installed the ur pullies, and am unsure how to get EXACTLY tdc on #1, any tips on that?

Why is this in the engine management and tuning section?

1) Stick a screwdriver through one of the holes on the cam gear so it keeps it in its place.

2) The second timing mark from the left if you are looking at the pulley from the pass side of the car is 0*, that is TDC. The timing marks go like this (-5,0,5,10,15,20)

I'm pretty sure its a 1" wrench, but I may be wrong... you need to use a thinner crows foot open end.

You need to move this thread, it's in the wrong section.

XxTokeSxx is right, you need a cheap 1" wrench. All you have to do is get a grinder or dremel and grind the wrench in order for it to fit.

I'm not understanding your question about the pullies. The crank pulley is keyed so it will automatically orient itself with the crankshaft. The crank pulley has timing marks, so for tdc on #1 the second mark should match up with the timing pin on the front oil cover.
