Extruded Honed Extractor?

What exactly is meant by 'extruded honed'?

I have a sr20ve stock header and was told that if i get it extruded honed it would suffice as a performance or (close to) header.

How is it done and what gains can i expect?

Extrude honing is an internal polishing process that uses an abrasive 'puddy' material. When forced thru the part, it smoothes/polishes the inside...for example, an extrude honed exhaust manifold would have had the puddy material forced thru the runners and the end result would be very smooth on the inside resulting in less drag and more efficiency.
