In Manchester around October 10th

Looks like I will be visiting a friend in Aberdeen and then passing through Manchester for a little tour on the week of October 10th and later... does anyone live close by? This is my first time so I have no idea about distances other than what google map tells me.

I'd allow 6 hours, It's 350miles. But the good thing is, you'll see lots of N15's and GTi-R's...there everywhere
