S. FL Wilma Evacuees... Open Invitation

Like the title states, this is an open invitation to those members living in the S. FL area. If and when you feel the need to evacuate, we have room for you in Tampa... seriously. Even though we don't know for sure where Wilma(Fred banging on the door) is going to make landfall, it's looking like S. FL is in the biggest danger zone if all predictions hold.

We have a fairly big living room and some other places where people can camp out. And, if you like, bring sleeping bags, pillows or blankets. Kids are welcome, they can share space with ours.

I know it's a pain to have to drive all the way to Tampa, but you'd be safe. No point in spending money on a hotel somewhere. And, your cars would be safe.

If you're interested in this, just pm me and I'll send you our address and phone number.

Honestly, this is a friendly and sincere offer. I know we're not really your family, but it's a place you can come to and still be close to home.

Peace,
Mark

Manny(?), better to pay for gas than to replace a car. Besides, you could scare the Teg that lives down the street.

Serban, my pleasure. I don't have much car "knowledge" to share, but this is something I can do.

Peace,
Mark

Well, its not like my car can move anywhere right now; in the condition the B13 is in right now, I won't be able to scare a cat.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the jesture =O)

I feel for you boys in S.FL i'm in Jacksonville,FL and i'm hoping for you guys to be safe. I can talk to the woman and see if she is ok w/ us offering our living room and dining room as shelter. She may say something like they have to compestate some how like food or something but i can see. For you guys riding it out be careful and stay in safe areas dont be stupid and walk around outside when Big Wilma is coming.

Don't wait too long to make a decision. Highways get really crowded during an evacuation. I promise, we don't bite... well, maybe one or both of the twins do. All you need to bring is an extra blanket or sleeping bag and your favorite pillow, we'll provide everything else.

Did I mention we have cable and a tv and 3 rooms?

Whatever you decide to do, please be careful.

Peace,
Mark

guys, dont take this lightly, get the hell out of there, after just going through hurricane katrina myself, i have seen what these things can do and it's scary. trust me, leave, i regret not leaving for katrina. and trust me on this, there is no worse pain i've ever experienced then walking in the garage and seeing your pride and joy(car) completely flooded and totaled. get out while you can before traffic get's too bad. please, y'all just get out. i may sound like i'm nagging or anything but i've never been so scared in my life then when that thing was hitting, just my 10 cents.

Buckle up, guys and wear your rain coats and galoshes. Don't know how bad it's going to get. If any of y'all need something, like a contact phone number to let everyone know you're ok, let me know.

Offer is still open. Our schools are closed tomorrow so you'd get to play with the kids

Peace,
Mark
