Hi there! Club SE-R of Tampa… bout time isn’t it?
The club is being created to bring SE-R/SR20 enthusiasts together. While the club’s focus will only be on the SR20 and SE-R (including the new QR powered 2002 SE-R) anyone is welcome to join regardless of what car they own as long as they understand the focus will be SE-R’s and all SR20 powered vehicles. (You don’t really think a Neon owner will want to join an SE-R club expecting to have it focus on Neon performance do you?)
Why should you join? Good question, but a better question is why shouldn’t you join? Why wouldn’t you want to hang out and have a good time with people that share a common interest! The dyno day is a perfect example. The club is being formed for its members to share their experience and friendship. If you’ve ever been part of a car club, you know the many potential benefits and activities open to its members. If you haven’t, here are just a few… potential discounts on parts through club member connections/group discounts. There’s usually always someone you can call for upgrade advice/help. AutoX/Dyno/Track/1320 and Show events are a lot more fun when you go with friends. The club benefits and activities are really only limited by the creativity of its members.
CSERT will not have any regular dues and has no plans to become a non-profit corporation. This is simply a group of enthusiasts that want to get together to have a good time. Why would we want to bother with keeping track of your money? =) As events get planed, we will collect any money needed ahead of time from those planning to participate. The Club may decide at some point to take up donations to buy club property such as Tents and Timing equipment for AutoX/Track/1320/ and Show events. Hey, it would be nice to host our own club events right?
Want to join? It’s simple… all we need is some information. Fill out as much as you can.

Hey Brad I think that the idea of a SE-R Club in tampa is a really good idea. It would be a really great way to meet some new friends that share the same interests. I'm interested in joining, I'll PM you and give you all of the info that you need.
I will be getting a nice home in about a year. Im trying to work out a 3 car garage for some major geekouts!!!
In the meantime I wouldnt mind chillin with the SE-R homies.

I would join, but as far as timing lights and shizzy like that don't worry bout it. I have like 4 timing lights, an Snap-On MT2500 diagnostics scanner to read from the consult port, and a Snap-On MT-2400 Vantage (kinda like a volt meter on steroids). Some club sh*t like a tent, table, hibachi, and chairs would rock the mic. If people wanted to invest I could get a good deal on nismo fold out chairs too...lol. Anyway though I think it would rock to get together shoot the sh*t and organize some shows and what not.
I wanted to wait a few days before I posted a follow up message so that people would have time to post in here if they wanted to join.
How does next Wednesday night at 8:00pm sound as a meeting time? We can meet up at Barnacles in Brandon. Barnacles is a good meeting spot because they're club friendly, have lots of parking, we can move tables together so we can all sit together, have pretty good food, lots of TVs, we can sit inside our outside, and they have arcade and pool tables.
We've got a lot of club things we need to go over and of course we want to have time to hang out and have a good time as well.
If you don't know where Barnacles is, it's in Brandon, on Providence between Lumsden and HW60. It's actually on the Providence (Eastern) entrance to the Brandon Mall. So if you're getting off I-75 onto HW60 you'll want to head east and make a right at the first light (the entrance to the Brandon Mall). Once you reach the mall, take a left and follow the road around the mall until you can see Sears (last store at that end of the mall). Take left at the stop sign and head straight through the next stop sign (road leading to the eastern exit of mall). Barnciles will now be on your Right hand side.
