Ok... if you weren't at the meeting tonight here's one of the things we talked about. What should we call the Tampa SE-R club? Everyone agreed that it has to have SE-R in the name. It would also be good if it had Tampa in it as well (but that's not an absolute requirement). So those are the guidelines.
Let's try to stay away from names like "SE-R Booyyyzzzz" or "SERious Trouble" ect.
I have to agree with you Yosho.
I like CSERT.
I even told my wife I was going to the CSERT ( cert ) meet today.
I like the ring to it. Nice and simple.

someone there suggested SE-R Club of Tampa. I, personally, prefer that. I think it rolls off the tongue easier. but then again i have never been accused of being normal either
plus if you use the SERCT acronym it can be pronounced like "circuit" which is a neat allusion to racing terminology
Does anyone, besides only four out of the fifteen people who attended Barnacles, even care what this SE-R club is named. I guess we'll just have to go with the Club Si, I mean, SE-R name. I thought we could make up a name for ourselves instead letting the Honda owners do it for us. If there is a good response, I can have a poll posted as a sticky for a week or so and everyone can vote on the names listed.

Honestly, if we have a "normal" car club name... meaning following a normal pattern then we'll wind up with a name similar to some other car club. Might as well be something that abreviates into something that's easy to say (CSERT) and isn't going to be confused with SERCA (as in SERTB).
Weren't you the one who was going to do the SERCA website for FL, and had some FL SE-R mailing list??...man, what happened to all that? I think I 'm still on the FL mailing list. lol...anyway, if thats not you and you have no idea what I'm talking about, then sorry

You're right, CSERT is easy to say and I don't want a name like SE-R Booyyyzzzz, etc. Just wanted a little more of a response from the group who attended Barnacles.
I do like CSERT and would stay away from any Ricey names or flashy names. I had a fun time at the meet and look forward to more meetings. I am sorry I have not posted much as I am getting over a stomach virus.
