Start one. I'm sick of hosting on Imagestation. I wouldn't link from a gallery here to other forums (if that makes sense) but then again this forum is where I do the VAST majority of image posting.
I'm all for it.

This isn't a test to see if people want it, this is just to make sure it all works with the forum software like it's supposed to.
Edit: This thread is for discussion related to this announcement. Thank you, chriscar, for being on top of things! Sleeping in the cafeteria last week must have cleared your mind!
you could make it so that whenever people post an image, it is instead saved here, so it downloads from the forum. this would prevent people from just dumping all their photos here (or, rather, at least keep some of the, umm, more uhhh private photos for some of us...) and linking them to other sites.
of course, there would be no way to charge for that, or maybe you can have premier members, who pay for it, so they can post photos directly here. if course, if you did that, you might as well have it so that you had your own picture account.
If you have an online photo gallery, an additional button for the gallery will appear along with the rest of your "personal" buttons (profile, pm, email, www, etc) at the bottom of your posts. Secondly, those that "subscribe" will not only get a good chunk of disk space to store pictures *or* videos, they will also get other things like the use of avatars, a forum email address, and the ability to participate in threads entirely via email. There could be more, but I'm not sure yet. It's also going to be VERY cheap. Those that donated to the forum last year will also be recognized, something that is LONG overdue.
People who don't want to pay just won't have much, if any, space to store anything. The idea is that you pay short money for a bunch of cool things to play with. I'm shooting to launch all this within a few weeks, at the same time replacing the current server with some very fast new hardware.
