Exclamation Flaky performance

Recently, I provided a new home for G20.net and as a result the overall server performance has been flaky. It is in desperate need of memory which I need to buy (anyone have a 512MB PC133 chip kicking around?) and I need to make a few other tweaks. I underestimated the impact of the additional traffic.

In any case, please bear with me!

Re: Flaky performance

I believe I have (2) 256MB registered ECC PC100 laying here if you want it.

Re: Flaky performance

Interesting. That might just work but let me check on it. The situation with the server is in the air at the moment so I need to get a few things worked out before I go ahead and make upgrades. Thanks!

Re: Flaky performance

Didn't want to creat a new thread for this so I'm posting here. The last few days, the forum has either gone offline for me or has been running slow as sh*t. I know it's not my comp either as other sites run fine.

Why has it been so slow lately?

Steve.

Re: Flaky performance

Not enough memory, there is a bad script that throws the forum between 9-midnight and if there is a high load of users it usually grinds the site to a halt. New server being installed tomorrow, should be using it by the end of the week.
